This picture cleaned up pretty nice, and is a good example of the times.  People owned and operated their
own stores, and visited with everyone, even the competition.  Awnings were let out and withdrawn depending on
the weather and sun location.  Wares were displayed in the front window, even the meat market!

I saw this picture repeated several times in a book, and it was described as being on South Main in Picher.
If Picher had such an address, it would have been out around Douthat somewhere.  The Frank Nebel in the
picture was possibly Picher's Frank Nebel's father who was born in Germany and immigrated to America in 1860.
