Here's a cement pond, called "the thickener" at rest.  The water used in the
mill was introduced at the upper right and the "sweeps" kept the dirt suspended
and it exited at lower right with the water.  Any mineral that wasn't separated
in the first run settled to the bottom, and was pumped back into the mill, and re-run.
This mill is the Evans-Wallower/Goldenrod #4, between College Street and Main
Street in Picher.  The Picher water tower is visible in the upper left.
