Postcard courtesy of Billie (Kaze) Trahin

This postcard was sent to my grandfather,
Jessie Allen Cook in Prosperity, MO by his
sister, Corda (Cook) Kaze.  Her husband,
Omer apparently worked at the "Old
Chief".  They lived in North Miami at the
time.  She was obviously not happy with
the situation, and homesick.

The map below shows the location
of the mines.  The arrow on the map
indicates the "New State" (#69) which
was on one of William Oscar Cardin's
allotments.  Oscar's mother Esther
had her allotments east of that.
