The school at Tar River, Oklahoma is badly crowded, as is most of the schools of Ottawa county, Oklahoma on account of the fast growth in population.

Nearly 200 pupils received instruction by Miss Emma Shipley, Principal, and Miss Bessie Kipps and Miss Bertha M. Green, teachers. The pupils were active during food pledge week, as were the 1,560 pupils of the high and grade school classes of the Central school, near Picher Oklahoma where 16 school rooms are crowded above seating capacity.
