The History of Cardin,
Oklahoma started in 1895 when the Quapaws allotted their lands in Indian
Territory, later (1907) to become the state of Oklahoma.
The Cardin family, being adopted in to the Quapaw Tribe, each drew 240
acre allotments. Tribal members had the option to split their
allotments up and many did just that. Four of the five original
CARDIN KIDS chose allotments in the area that became Cardin, Oklahoma
