1923 Oklahoma map

Long before Grand Lake was created, there was a small town named Echo.
It sat on Grand River near where Monkey Island is now.
Nearby was a bridge across Grand River to Grove.
As Grand Lake was being constructed the bridge was moved to Horse Creek
becoming the "Unfinished Bridge".
