• Wilma Dean LaFalier, 77, of Quapaw, passed away Feb. 26, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
    She was born Nov. 19, 1938 to Virgil Oliver Kenneth Ray and Vernie (Carr) Pattison in Picher, Okla. She married Sonny Clouse in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1965. In 1966 she married Donnie LaFalier of Quapaw. He preceded her in death in 2005.
    Wilma Dean attended Quapaw High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pittsburg State University. She was a well-loved substitute teacher in the area and teacher's aide at Quapaw Elementary School, but she was most known for her generosity. When she heard of a need, she would make sure it was met.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Pattison, Joplin.
    She is survived by her twin sister, Billie White of Commerce, her sister-in-law, Sandie Bear of Quapaw her sons, Ricky Clouse of Miami, Danny Joe Clouse and Lindsay of Baxter Springs and Nathan LaFalier of Quapaw, her daughters, Dawn Kelly and her other half, Warren Shrout, and Natyah LaFalier, all of Quapaw; thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 at Southeast Baptist Church in Commerce. Rev. Leroy Orr and Rev. Geoff Buffalo will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Northwest of Grove, Okla. Pallbearers are Eric Clouse, Tadd Clouse, Nathan LaFalier, Haden Clouse, Newton Sappington and Coltin Sappington. Honorary pallbearers are Julian LaFalier, Jerry “Burf” Truelove, Shawn Truelove, Davie Pattison and Dennie Carr.
