Thelma Irene Redden died Tuesday, Sept.
8, 2009, at Eastwood Manor Nursing
Center in Commerce. She was 89.
Mrs. Redden was born Sept. 12, 1919, to
Elton and Deliah (Guinn) Stanislaus. She
formerly lived in Picher.
She was a member of the Pentecostal
Church in Picher and was known as a
“street poet.” She was preceded in death
by her husband, Bud Redden; her parents,
and one brother, Ronald Stanislaus.
Survivors include two nieces.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Paul
Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Burial
will be in Bluejacket Cemetery.
