Arnold Coppedge James
Arnold Coppedge of Commerce, Okla. passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at
Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Okla.
He was 88. James was
born May 28, 1926 in Salem, Mo. to Elijah and Julia (Redwine) Coppedge.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII, worked at B. F. Goodrich for 38
years before he retired. He was a very active member of the Cardin
Baptist Church, where he also enjoyed singing in the choir. He is
preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, siblings and his wife
Martha Coppedge. Survivors
include his sons Darrell Coppedge, Dean Coppedge, Bob Crawford and John
Crawford, daughters Glynda Teal, Lynda Gagnon, Kathy McCoy and Marsha
Kelley, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cardin Baptist
Church east of Miami, Okla. Rev. Brent McCoy will officiate. Interment
will be in Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Okla. Pallbearers will be Mike
McCoy, Jeff McCoy, John Crawford, Bobby Crawford, Matt Karnes, Bernie
Coeber and David Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Shayla Crawford, Bill Crawford,
Fred VonMoss, Bill Parkison, Julius Kline and Rochelle Crawford.
Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 147 Funeral

Home and Cremation Service of Miami, Okla.
