Hershell Leroy Sample, resident of Miami, OK., passed away
April the 27th, 2011 at his home. He was 72.
He was a retired tire curer working for B.F. Goodrich until
closing
then worked at Bayliner until 2003. He served in the U.S. Air
Force.
Hershell was born July the 30th, 1938 in Fairland, OK., to Roy
and Ada (Walker) Sample. He married Judy Bone of Picher, on
September the 18th, 1965 in Miami, OK. He is survived by his
wife, Judy, of the home; one daughter, Jill Nutt, and spouse
Chad, of Fairland, OK; one sister, Maxine Greninger; four
grandchildren, Shilee Nutt, Shyann Nutt, Bryce Nutt, and Brook
Nutt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Bill
Sample Sr., Jimmy Sample, J.W. Sample and Udonis Sample; three
sisters, Irene Crockett, Charlene Hakanson and Darlene Wilson.
Services were at 2 p.m., Monday, May the 2nd, 2011 at the
Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK., with Chaplain Geoff
Buffalo officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were: Terry Atkinson, Billy Sample Jr.,
Davy Maple, Robert Nutt, Mike Sample and Jeff Sample.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Glen Hayworth, David
Maple Sr., Rufus Greninger, Edward Wilson and Greg Sample.
