Earnest Lee Armstrong of Miami, Oklahoma passed Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at his home. He was 63.
Mr. Armstrong was born September 19, 1947 in Okay, Oklahoma to Ulysses Lee and Edith Mae (Pingleton) Armstrong. He graduated from Muskogee High School in 1965, from NSU in 1970 with a Bachelor in Education and from NSU in 1975 with a Masters in Counseling.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1970 thru 1976. He was an Elementary teacher and coach at Afton Elementary School 1970 -1979, a Counselor for K – 12th grade and Sr. Class Sponsor at Quapaw Public School 1979 – 1981, Elementary Teacher and Coach at Picher Elementary School 1981 – 1998, Elementary teacher at Mt. Olive Lutheran School 1998 – 2001. He was in newspaper rack and dealer distribution for Miami News Record 2001 – 2008 and for Green Country Weekly 2008- 2009. Mr. Armstrong was a member of Southeast Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma and National and Oklahoma Teacher’s Association.
He was preceded in death by his father. He married Charity Mae Arnold on November 15, 1968. She survives of the home.
