Delores Paulene Dunbar, formally of Picher and Baxter passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Craig General Hospital in Vinita, she was 55. She was born February 9, 1957 to Russell William and Velma Darlene (VanHoose) Akin in Picher, Okla. Delores married Roy Thomas Dunbar, Sr. She worked at Ozark Salad for 11 years, Edna Lee Nursing Home and Miami Nursing Center. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Russell R. Akin, Jimmy Akin and Loy Dean Akin. Survivors include Roy Thomas Dunbar, Sr.; one son, Roy Thomas Dunbar, Jr. three daughters, Betty Darlene Barfell of Taft, Okla., Pamela Joe Dunbar of Madison, Kent., Cynthia Paulene Dunbar of Vinita, Okla.; two sisters, Shirley VanHoose of Miami, Okla. and Diane Akin of Grove, Okla.; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Baxter Springs, Kan. Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6 to 7 at the Paul Thomas Funeral in Miami, Okla. Pallbearers, Russell Wayne Akin, Roy Howard, Roy Dunbar, Jr., Ryan William Dunbar, J.B. Dunbar and Donny Ellison. |
