Cleta Lavern Dollison Ware

Cleta Lavern Dollison Ware passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at her home in rural Miami, Okla.

Cleta was born Jan. 15, 1935 in Mound City, Kan. to Norman and Vera Dollison. She grew up in Seneca, Mo. and Cardin, Okla. On April 30, 1952, she married Buddy Rubin Ware in Eureka Springs, Ark. During the marriage, they lived in Picher, Okla., Yorkville and Aurora, Ill., Columbus, Kan. and Miami, Okla.

She and Buddy owned and operated CBM Tuck pointing in Illinois until moving to Columbus, Kan. in December of 1975. In Columbus, they owned and operated CBM Sanitation Services. She had also previously worked at Elgin Watch in Elgin, Ill. and at a sardine cannery at Carmel by the Sea, California. Cleta enjoyed drawing, painting, reading, crocheting, knitting and word puzzles.

Cleta is survived by three children, Michael Ware, Brad Ware and wife Deborah, and Jennifer Ware. Grandchildren: Donnell Ware and wife BreAnna, Lucerys Ware, Sarah Ware, Levi Ware, Sydney Ware, Lucas Ware, and Lydia Ware. Great Grandchildren: Emersyn Ware, Dontay Ware, and Marcus Ware. Cleta is also survived by brothers Ed Dollison, Raymond Dollison, Richard Dollison, and Doug Dollison; sisters May Wilkes and Delores Johnson and many many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and other family members.

Cleta was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband and siblings Clarence Dollison, George Dollison, Earl Dollison, Joseph Dollison, and Bessie Dollison Goldman.

A celebration service is being held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at the Paul Thomas Family Center Building in front of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
