Clarence
Wayne
McMinn of Miami, OK passed away peacefully Tuesday March
20, 2012 at his home. He was 71.
Mr. McMinn was born February 15,
1941 in Picher, Ok to Clark Lester and Una Beatrice (Frost)
McMinn. He had lived in the
Quapaw, Miami area all his life.
Clarence married his childhood
sweetheart Joan Nichols , June 12, 1957 in Jay, Oklahoma.
Clarence was a many time Golden
Gloves Champion advancing to the Nationals. After his amateur
career he became a professional boxer ranked in Ring Magazine.
Clarence worked at Hormel
Packing plant from the time it opened until it's closing
He retired from the Miami Police Department in 2000 after 20
years of service, and worked for the Sheriff Office as a Deputy
after his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of
Police of Miami and a Member of the First Assembly of God Church
in Miami, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-n-law Kenneth
Nichols.

one: Sister-n- law Linda Nichols.
Funeral Services will be Friday March 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at
Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, OK. Pastor Raymond
Frizzelle will officiate. Pallbearers will be Capt. Thomas
Anderson, Capt. Philip Brice, Sgt. Mike Kelly, Officer Steve
Johnston, Det. Mark Byfield and Ret. Det. John Koch. Interment
will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, |
