Wilma S. Walker of Grove died Sunday,
Feb. 28, 2010,
at Osborn Care Center in Miami. She was
86.
Mrs. Walker was born Jan. 28, 1924, to
Charles and Nancy (Bender) Simons. She
was raised in the Picher area
and attended Tulsa Business College.
She worked as a data processing manager
for
J.W.P. Heating and Air Contractors.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of The
Latter Day Saints
in Grove. She was married to Cleo Buttress. He
preceded her in death.
She later married Larry Walker. He
preceded her in death. She was also
preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Ben Buttress
of Grove; three sisters, Dorothy Cummins
of Quapaw, Virginia Olds of Arkansas and
Luretta Metheny of Quapaw; three
grandchildren, Ben Michael Buttress,
Aaron Buttress, Christina Sagnimeni, and
five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the
Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day
Saints at 1104 Lee Street in Grove.
Entombment services will be 10 a.m.
Friday at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
President Roberts will officiate.
