Virginia Thelma Black age 83, of Columbus, Kan. formerly of Picher, Okla. passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 at Freeman Health Care System in Joplin, Mo.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1931 in Picher, Okla. the daughter of Frederick Houston & Oma Cordelia (Chambers) Poor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil Walton, her second husband, Gerald Black, three sisters and ten brothers.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and Interment for Virginia Thelma Black will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at Carterville Cemetery in Carterville, Mo. with Danny Garner, Officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Carterville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
