Maxine M. Cole, 88, entered into rest on April 2, 2013, at her home following a short illness.

She was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Picher, Okla., to Earl and Myrtle (MacAllister) Anderson.

Maxine was a lifelong area resident and worked as a nurse's aide for Sale Memorial for 23 years. She also was a member of Church of Christ, Granby, Mo.

Maxine married Marion Cole on Jan. 17, 1942, in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1986.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Howe and husband, Olan, of Neosho, Mo., Tom Cole and wife, Sue, of Granby, and Stephen Cole and wife, Joy, of Joplin, Mo.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, at Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel, Granby, Minister Richard Chambers, officiating. Interment will be in Granby Memorial Cemetery Granby. Pallbearers will be Chris Howe, Aaron Howe, Jeffrey Cole; grandsons, Gary Oxendine, Richard Shipers and grandsons-in-law. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Clark Funeral Home Granby. The casket will be closed at all times.
