Elizabeth "Ellen" (Maxwell) (Allen) Dolling
Elizabeth "Ellen" Dolling passed from this life to eternal
life with her Lord
on September 1, 2007, at her Fairland, Oklahoma home.
Ellen was born to Reece W. and Erdie Revels Maxwell in
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She had lived in Picher, California and Fairland.
A
homemaker and childcare provider, she was known to many
children as
Aunt Honey. She was a member of the Picher
Nazarene Church, where for
many years she was a nursery worker and teacher.
Ellen is survived by her husband, John Dolling, of the home;
one son,
Reece Allen, of Chatsworth, California; three daughters,
Helen Douglas of Commerce, Oklahoma, Billie Stelle and
husband, Jerry, of Fairland, Oklahoma and Viancy
Shanks of
Miami, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Angela Allen, Carolyn
Allen,
Khristina Douglas, Victor Douglas, Michael Hatten, and
Jonathan Stelle. She is also survived by four
great-grandchildren
and one sister, Leah Landis. Ellen was preceded
in death by her
parents, four brothers and one sister.
Her last act of love and caring for other people was the
donation of her
body as an anatomical gift to the University of
Oklahoma School of
Medicine. Ellen's hope was that others with a similar
medical
condition would have improved survival rates and a better
quality of life.
A
memorial service were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday,
September
6, 2007, at the New Life Church of the Nazarene, in
Miami,
Oklahoma. The family received friends
immediately
following the service. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests
memorial contributions be made to New Life Church of
the
Nazarene or your favorite charity.
